Nothing to belittle about the Euro crisis and it's impact on the wellbeing of many citizens of Europe. What strikes me, coming back to my native Germany after 15 years, is that despite a very high standard of living, people complain about literally everything. Things are bad for many, but at the same time there is 2 good things for every bad one. A more positive attitude towards realities of life may help and rolling up the sleeves and do something is always better than waiting for usually hopeless politicians to solve all the problems of the world.

I guess this article was more of a kind of self-prescribed therapy for a journalist suffering a deep depressive state after writing about crisis for the past 5 years. If it served its purpose, it's not that bad after all. All I see in there is a subliminal message to Starbucks: we don't need you guys, we have amazing macchiatos for 1 euro a cup!
